Malvern Fabdogs

"Marcie helped us with our 3 year old reactive black Labrador. We had trouble having people in our house and meeting dogs on walks. We have tried multiple trainers and behaviourists in the past and never had the results we have had with Marcie after just two meetings. Our boy is much calmer in situations he finds difficult since we have learnt to take control. A huge thank you to Marcie, the support has made our day to day lives much easier".

About Malvern Fabdogs

 MEET THE TEAM

Marcie Harding

I love dogs and always have. My aim with Malvern Fabdogs is to  help dogs by helping their owners to understand them and give them what they need to become happy and fulfilled.

I will help you to deal with issues that are  detrimental to your dog and so  cause a real problem to you e.g. lead reactivity or aggression towards other dogs. These are currently the two most frequent  issues we are asked to help with.

Why Choose me ?

Firstly - please take a look at my Testimonials page !

I have many  years  experience of owning and working with high drive Dobermans.

I am a Canine Behaviourist and have a Diploma with Distinction in Canine Behaviour and am continuing my studies with the British College of Canine Studies.

I also shadow other top experts - Malvern's very own Anna Walton from Happy Hill Dog Walks and more recently Impackt Behaviour to shadow Pamela Dempsey, the UK's top canine aggression expert (see Links page),  -  as I want to continue to learn from the best.

I occasionally use Joey my dog as an aggression therapy dog to help certain client's dogs.

l also have associated more basic qualifications / certificates in Dog Walking, Dog First Aid & Dog Socialisation that helps me see the whole picture.

I often get fast results (see testimonials) especially with lead reactive dogs. I  have developed my own methods to deal with reactivity.

I use methods based on leadership and understanding, methods that work, methods that help the dogs in my care to become happier quickly.

As part of the process with lead reactive dogs in particular, I  make sure that you, the owner, can implement these methods effectively.  You will also  be confident you can deal with any eventuality (including reactive/ aggressive confrontation) and use our unique approach to achieve this.

In addition to my experience and qualifications, I am  DBS Checked and Fully Insured (see image).

Let me help your dog become a Fabdog!

Susan Hinton

Sue has a wealth of experience with many breeds of dogs.

She has owned dogs all of her life. Sue has owned a wide variety of dogs including  Jack Russell Terriers, Staffies, Labradors, a Standard Poodle and even Watson the Wolfhound ! Sue has also worked in a veterinary practice which has added to her considerable knowledge of all things canine!.

Sue loves helping Malvern Fabdogs especially during extra busy periods. Sue's experience and knowledge of different breeds is already proving to be so valuable in helping our clients' dogs improve where it is needed. Sue will often take over the Training Walks and practice our methods with any dogs that may need a 'refresher' !

Sue is often able to advise clients  issues their dogs may have that may not be general knowledge, especially to first time owners - she can also often spot potential health problems and suggest changes that benefit the owner's dog, or advise if your dog needs to see a vet as a matter of urgency, knowledge gained from her work in a veterinary practice,.

Sue is fully insured and of course, (being a retired Teacher ) is DBS checked and completely trustworthy.

Joey
Joey will be 5 years old in January 2025  .
Joey enjoys his job as an aggression therapy and mentor dog because he knows what it's like to be reactive. He sometimes wishes the pay scale was modified to include more perks and treats, but the job does come with food and lodging, free healthcare, a comfy bed, a spot on the sofa, first dibs in front of the wood burner and two highly trained servants to cater to his every whim.
When Joey arrived at 15 months he was very reactive indeed and very frustrated. Just for added fun Joey had an incredibly high protection drive and a very  high prey drive too (he still has ) ! .
Joey had to learn to meet other dogs  (and be nice to them),  he  had to learn lots of things that he is now happy to pass on to other dogs to help them be happier.

Joey helps dogs overcome their reactivity and aggression.

Joey normally finds that the dogs he helps aren't really aggressive, they just need to learn the rules !
